Introducing Disruptive Technology
Since its inception in 2011, Vold Vision has focused on developing clinical research and elective procedure programs. Patients assume they will receive top-quality care, and my fellow doctors, the staff, and I have worked to build an organizational culture of exceptional customer service, cutting-edge technology, and outcomes that surpass conventional norms. We pursue this goal each and every day.
This edition of GT deals with integrating clinical research and innovation into practice. The process is challenging. It requires flexibility, planning, staff training, and staging. From my perspective, however, clinical research allows physicians to provide their patients with access to ophthalmic technology that is generally unavailable, stimulates and educates doctors, and ultimately improves patients’ care.
Backed by the support and experience of Beye (beye.com), the eye care industry’s marketplace destination, I would like to announce the Celebrate Innovation Summit that will be held on November 4 and 5, 2016, at the beautiful 21c Museum Hotel in Bentonville, Arkansas. Using a format similar to Apple’s world-renowned conferences, this inaugural event will introduce attendees to disruptive, new ophthalmic technologies that are ready for market. Faculty will include industry giants and innovators such as Andy Corley and Ike Ahmed, MD. Live surgery streamed into the meeting and on the Internet will allow real-time interaction with physicians across the globe. The provision of multimedia educational training for physicians and their patients will facilitate participants’ adoption of and transition to technologies highlighted at the meeting.
The ultimate goal of the summit is to transform patients’ lives for the better. For more information and to register, visit cisummittoday.com. I hope to see you in November! n
