Coalition for Vision Research

Ten US-based organizations have formed a coalition to launch scEYEnce (Twitter @scEYEncenow), a campaign designed to educate the public, the media, policymakers, and other key stakeholders about the importance of vision research. Members of the working group include the AAO, Glaucoma Research Foundation, Foundation Fighting Blindness, National Eye Institute, and more. According to scEYEnce, the campaign will use traditional and social media outreach to highlight cutting-edge research and the scientists conducting it, graphics that illustrate the impact of vision loss, and a resource-filled website featuring stories and sources on new insights and investigations.
