Innovations in Glaucoma Surgery: A Protocol for Integrating Interventional Principles

The interventional glaucoma mindset is altering the approach to patient care, but how can surgeons incorporate the principles into practice? Christine M. Funke, MD, and I. Paul Singh, MD, discuss this in an episode of Innovation Journal Club.

Personalizing Glaucoma Treatment With the Calibreye System

On MIGS Unplugged, Lautaro Vera, MD, sits down with Iqbal Ike K. Ahmed, MD, FRCSC, and Arsham Sheybani, MD, to share his experiences with the Calibreye System (Myra Vision), a titratable aqueous shunt with valve-controlled channels that can be reversibly and repeatedly opened or closed using an office-based laser. Dr. Vera explains how to decide when channels should be opened or closed depending on a patient’s IOP and discusses how this procedure fits into glaucoma treatment paradigm.
